Sore ears · Nose dents · 12-hour days

Glasses you forget you're wearing.

If you take your glasses off at night and rub the sore spots — behind your ears, the bridge of your nose, your temples — the frame has been fighting your face all day. Ours can't: printed from a 30-second phone scan, weight spread across 17 balanced contact points, in PA12 nylon that's about 40% lighter than acetate.

Sound familiar?

The relief when you take them off — that's the problem.

Sore behind the ears

The temple tip presses into bone instead of resting along it. By evening, taking them off feels like taking off tight shoes.

Nose dents

All the weight lands on two little pads. Red marks that outlast the workday — and never really fade.

The 4pm headache

Temple pressure and nose weight compound hour by hour into a headache you've stopped blaming on your glasses.

Endless adjustments

Back to the optician, bend, tweak, "how's that?" — better for a week, then the frame springs back to its old shape.

Pain means pressure, and pressure means bad geometry. Here's the physics →

Why glasses hurt

A few grams, on the wrong spot, for 14 hours.

Glasses are light — but weight isn't the issue. Concentration is. A standard frame touches your face at two or three points, so every gram funnels onto those spots: the pads on your nose, the tips behind your ears. Hold even light pressure on one spot long enough and it becomes soreness, dents, and headaches.

Hand adjustments move the pressure around; they can't remove it. A frame printed from your scan can: 17 balanced contact points, each carrying a fraction of an already-lighter load — PA12 is about 40% lighter than acetate and needs no metal core, screws, or nose pads at all.

The result isn't "more comfortable glasses." It's glasses that stop registering as an object on your face. See how the scan and printing work.

STANDARD: 3 POINTS all weight on 3 spots → soreness iAYEZ: 17 POINTS weight spread across 17 → nothing to feel
Same weight. Seventeen places to carry it instead of three.

Questions, answered.

Why do my glasses hurt behind my ears?

Standard temples are one length and curve, hand-bent to approximate your ears. A few millimeters off, and the tip presses into bone instead of resting along it — light pressure, wrong spot, 14 hours. Our temples are printed to your scanned ear position, so the curve lands where your ear actually is.

Why do my glasses leave dents on my nose?

Two or three contact points carry all the weight. We spread it across 17 balanced contact points, in a material about 40% lighter — less weight, more places carrying it, no metal pads at all.

Can glasses cause headaches?

Ill-fitting frames are a common contributor — temple clamp, nose weight, lenses at the wrong tilt. A frame printed to your face removes the pressure-point causes. If headaches persist with a good fit and a current prescription, see your eye doctor.

What makes PA12 more comfortable than acetate?

It's about 40% lighter and roughly 5x stronger, so the frame is featherlight without being fragile — and it's printed to ±0.1mm from your scan, so comfort doesn't depend on hand-bending. More on the material.

What if the fit isn't perfect?
